Finished Framed Cross Stitch Piece - Saturday Evening Post Girl & Cat

Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.

This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Barbara from Ohio.

The pattern used is a classic Saturday Evening Post design featuring a little girl in a cute hat with her gray adorable cat.  

The cross stitch piece is made using DMC cotton threads.  It is stitched on off white linen and stitched 2 over 2.

The piece of cross stitch art has been professionally framed.  It is in a nice wood frame that is in great condition with no chips or cracks.  It is finished on the back using brown paper.  The piece has glass over the front.  It also have a double mat board that accents the colors used in the cross stitch.

The finished stitched piece is rectangle and measures approximately 12" from top to bottom and 9" from side to side.  

The wood frame measures 1" thick and 1" wide.  The framed piece altogether measures 18-3/4" from top to bottom and 16-1/4" from side to side.  It comes complete with the hanging wire and bumpers at the bottom.

This framed cross stitch piece does have glass on the front and will be shipped in a box with plenty of packing material to keep it safe.  

It will come ready to hang on the wall and enjoy.
