Finished Unframed Bunnies In A Rowboat Ursula Michael Cross Stitch Piece

Handmade Cross Stitch Piece stitched by Counting Stitches.

This is a professionally stitched, unframed cross stitch piece that is ready to frame, sew into a pillow, etc.

The pattern used is from designer Ursula Michael and was published in The Cross Stitcher Magazine in April of 2003.  The pattern features two bunnies possibly a father and son in a bright green rowboat.  The larger bunny is holding a white and red striped flag.  Each bunny has a blue scarf and the little one has a matching blue hat.  They have a bag in the boat like they may be on a journey and there is a fishing pole ready to be used.  The green boat is surrounded by blue waves of water.  I have included a photograph of the pattern as it appeared in the magazine.  It was finished into a pillow.  

The Bunnies in a Rowboat pattern is stitched using DMC cotton floss.  It is stitched on 32 count Sea Spray Blue linen.  It is stitched 2 over 2.  I have included a photograph of the back side of the piece showing the stitching from the back.

The finished stitched piece measures approximately 5" from top to bottom and 7-1/2" from side to side.

The piece is centered on a square piece of linen measuring 16" by 16" so there is plenty of fabric to be able to finish the piece out however you wish. 

Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.
