Finished Unframed English Horse Riding Scene Cross Stitch Piece
Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.
This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Violet from Florida.
The pattern used is a vintage cross stitch pattern featuring two horses and two riders. The scene is a full coverage piece meaning the full background is stitched. The scene is round and features a proper English lady side saddle on her horse. She is wearing a black riding dress and is on a gray horse. The other rider is a man in an English riding suit with a red coat, white pants and black boots. He is standing beside his brown horse. Both riders and horses have stopped for a moment in front of a stream.
This piece has been cleaned, deodorized and pressed. It is ready to be used however you choose.
This adorable pattern could be worked into a pillow or framed for a wall hanging.
The finished stitched piece is round and measures approximately 7-1/2" from top to bottom and 7-1/2" from side to side.
This English riding horse scene pattern is stitched on a piece of cloth measuring 13-1/2" from top to bottom and 16-1/2" from side to side so there is plenty of fabric to be able to use the scene however you wish.
Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.
Quilters use them as accent pieces to quilt around to make a special quilt or pillow.
