Finished Unframed Hotel Del Coronado Boathouse Cross Stitch Piece
Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.
This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Violet from Florida.
The pattern used is a vintage cross stitch pattern by designer Debbie Patrick. The design name is Hotel Del Coronado Boathouse - San Diego, CA. It was part of a grouping called Victorians Across America from the late 1980's to early 1990's. It features a large boathouse on the water with a cupola on top. The roof is all red and there are lots of windows. You can see the reflection of the boathouse in the water and there are palm trees and birds to add to the beautiful design.
This piece has been cleaned, deodorized and pressed. It is ready to be used however you choose.
This adorable pattern could be worked into a pillow or framed for a wall hanging.
The finished stitched piece is rectangle and measures approximately 5-3/4" from top to bottom and 5-1/4" from side to side.
This detailed boathouse view pattern is stitched on a piece of cloth measuring 8-1/2" from top to bottom and 10-1/2" from side to side so there is plenty of fabric to be able to use the scene however you wish.
Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.
Quilters use them as accent pieces to quilt around to make a special quilt or pillow.
