Finished Unframed Lombard Street Cross Stitch Piece -Stitched 1 Over 1

Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.

This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Violet from Florida.

The pattern used is a vintage cross stitch pattern by designer Judith M. Kirby. The design name is Lombard Street. It was originally a kit from 1980 from Judith M. Kirby Designs. It features a winding red brick road from the bottom of a hill to the top showing the painted lady houses, trees and flowers and a street car at the top of the hill.

This piece has been cleaned, deodorized and pressed.  It is ready to be used however you choose.  

This adorable pattern could be worked into a pillow or framed for a wall hanging.

The finished stitched piece is rectangle and measures approximately 6" from top to bottom and 5" from side to side.

This detailed Lombard Street view pattern is stitched on a piece of cloth measuring 10" from top to bottom and 8-1/2" from side to side so there is plenty of fabric to be able to use the scene however you wish.

Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.  

Quilters use them as accent pieces to quilt around to make a special quilt or pillow.
