Finished Unframed NC245 White Clover Nora Corbett Cross Stitch Piece
This is a professionally stitched, unframed cross stitch piece that is ready to frame, sew into a pillow, etc.
The pattern used is Nora Corbett's NC245 Pixie Blossom Collection White Clover.
The White Clover pixie is stitched using DMC cotton floss, Kreinik metallic braid and Mill Hill beads. It is stitched on 32 count Taupe Jobelan linen.
The pixie's dress is made to look like a white clover flower and is made using a deep pink for the bodice with dark pink (mauve) glass Mill Hill beads at the top and bottom of the bodice. The skirt starts our with purples at the top that is outlined by light pink Mill Hill glass beads. The purple fades into pinks outlined with more pink beads. The pink fades into yellow and white toward the bottom with white beads on each point of the shirt bottom.
The pixie's wings are stitched using greens and blues and have highlights of green Kreinik braid.
The brown haired pixie is wearing purple sandals with the same dark pink bead accents going up the leg. She is wearing a hat that matches the purples and pinks in the dress and is adorned with the deep pink and light pink beads.
There are 3 different colors of Mill Hill beads used to accent the wings and dress.
The finished stitched piece measures approximately 9" from top to bottom and 6" from side to side.
The piece is centered on a large piece of linen measuring 20-1/2" from top to bottom and 17" from side to side so there is plenty of fabric to be able to finish the piece out however you wish.
Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.
