Finished Unframed Paula Vaughan - From This Day Forward Cross Stitch Piece
Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.
This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Violet from Florida.
The pattern used is a vintage design from Paula Vaughan called From This Day Forward. It was published in the Leisure Arts leaflet 2210 from 1992. The cross stitch pattern features a bride getting ready for her wedding with the french doors open to a beautiful porch scene with decorative wood work, hanging flower baskets and flower pots everywhere. She is in a bedroom with a four poster canopy bed and a standing mirror. There is a beautiful run in the bedroom with a woven basket full of pink roses. Her veil is draped over the bed and in the mirror you can see her pink rose bouquet.
This piece has been cleaned, deodorized and pressed. It is ready to be used however you choose.
This adorable pattern could be worked into a pillow or framed for a wall hanging.
The finished stitched piece is rectangle and measures approximately 7-1/4" from top to bottom and 10" from side to side.
This peaceful design is stitched on a piece of cloth measuring 13" from top to bottom and 16-1/4" from side to side so there is plenty of fabric to be able to use the scene however you wish.
Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.
Quilters use them as accent pieces to quilt around to make a special quilt or pillow.
