Finished Unframed Sunflower with Blue Bird by Linda Gillum Cross Stitch Piece

Handmade Cross Stitch Piece stitched by Counting Stitches.

This is a professionally stitched, unframed cross stitch piece that is ready to frame, sew into a pillow, etc.

The pattern used is from American School of Needlework Leaflet 3630 Named Sunflowers, Sunflowers, Sunflowers by Linda Gillum.

The pattern is stitched on Sage color 28 count Jobelan linen 2 over 2.

The center of this square pattern features an adorable blue bird sitting on a big cheery sunflower. 

It also features a checker board border in black. 

The finished stitched piece measures approximately 7-1/4" from top to bottom and 7-1/4" from side to side.

The piece is centered on a square piece of linen measuring approximately 18" X 18" so there is plenty of fabric to be able to finish the piece out however you wish. 

Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.
