Finished Unframed The Porch Swing Cross Stitch Piece -Stitched 1 Over 1

Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.

This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Violet from Florida.

The pattern used is a vintage design from Paula Vaughan called The Porch Swing. It was a Leisure Arts leaflet 2016 that was first published in 1989. The cross stitch pattern features a white wicker porch swing on a beautiful front porch. The porch swing has a blue floral seat cover with plenty of adorable pillows. The porch is adorned with wonderful woodwork and has pink roses growing all around. There is also a green rocking chair, flower pots full of flowers and a light pink throw draped over the table. Such an inviting scene as only Paula Vaughan can create.

This piece has been cleaned, deodorized and pressed.  It is ready to be used however you choose.  

This adorable pattern could be worked into a pillow or framed for a wall hanging.

The finished stitched piece is rectangle and measures approximately 5-1/2" from top to bottom and 6-3/4" from side to side.

This peaceful design is stitched on a piece of cloth measuring 10-1/2" from top to bottom and 16" from side to side so there is plenty of fabric to be able to use the scene however you wish.

Most people either frame these pieces or use them to make pillows, wall quilt hangings or stitch them into some other project.  

Quilters use them as accent pieces to quilt around to make a special quilt or pillow.
