Framed Finished Cross Stitch Piece of P. Buckley Moss - Sister Love

Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.

This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It is framed really nicely with a ornate frame and filet that match.

The pattern used features a P. Buckley Moss design that was first published as leaflet 131 in 1995.

The design features two Amish sisters the younger in pink and the older in blue holding each other.

The cross stitch piece is made using DMC cotton threads.  It is stitched on off white Aida. The stitching is very nicely completed.

The piece of cross stitch art has been professionally framed.  The frame and filet are very well done. It is in an ornate gold frame that is in nice condition.  It is finished on the back using brown paper.  The piece has glass over the front.  It has a mat board that accents the colors used in the cross stitch.  The mat is a light gray/blue that matches the older sister's apron.

The outer frame and the filet are both ornate gold and inside the filet is a pink mat that is about 1/4". The framing of this piece is so well thought out and looks wonderful.

The finished stitched piece is rectangle and measures approximately 7-1/2" from top to bottom and 6-3/4" from side to side.  

The wood frame measures 1" thick from front to back and 1" wide in the front.  The gray/ blue mat is almost 1-3/4" wide. The gold filet is a nice thick filet measuring almost 1/2" wide and then the pink mat on the inside of the filet measures 1/4". The glass runs from the outer frame across so both mats and the filet are under glass. The framed piece altogether measures 15-1/2" from top to bottom and 14-1/2" from side to side.  It comes complete with the hanging hardware and bumpers at the bottom.  

This framed cross stitch piece does have glass on the front and will be shipped in a box with plenty of packing material to keep it safe. 

It will come ready to hang on the wall and enjoy.
