Framed Finished Cross Stitch Piece - Sewing Cat with Needle
Handmade Cross Stitch Piece
This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Barbara.
The pattern used features a cute gray cat dressed in a cream color dress with a pink blouse and pink heart buttons. The cat is sitting next to a brown quilted cat and is cross stitching. The cross stitch piece the cat is working on has an actual needle in the piece as she is not finished stitching the pink heart on the fabric.
The stitcher has signed the piece at the bottom, "BS 2004". Her name was Barbara from Ohio.
The cross stitch piece is made using DMC cotton threads. It is stitched on antique white linen and is stitched 2 over 2.
The piece of cross stitch art has been professionally framed. It is in a nice wood frame that is in great condition with no chips or cracks. It is finished on the back using brown paper. The piece has glass over the front.
The finished stitched piece is rectangle and measures approximately 5-1/2" from top to bottom and 6" from side to side.
The wood frame measures 1" thick. The framed piece altogether measures 7-1/4" from top to bottom and 9-1/2" from side to side.
This framed cross stitch piece does have glass on the front and will be shipped in a box with plenty of packing material to keep it safe.
It will come ready to hang on the wall and enjoy.
