Framed & Matted Finished Cross Stitch Piece - P. Buckley Moss - Sisters

Handmade Cross Stitch Piece.

This is a beautifully stitched cross stitch piece from an estate auction. It was stitched by Barbara from Ohio in 1985.

The pattern used is a P. Buckley Moss pattern named Sisters.  It features two Amish girls one holding a basket of apples and the other with her arm around the smaller girl and holding a small doll.  Each girl is dressed in matching outfits and bonnets.  

The cross stitch piece is made using DMC cotton threads.  It is stitched on White Aida Cloth and is stitched 1 over 1.

The piece of cross stitch art has been professionally framed.  It is in a nice frame that is in great condition with no chips or cracks.  The piece is double matted with the mat boards being two tones of green that match the girls outfits.  It is finished on the back using brown paper.  The piece has glass over the front.  The glass is signed in gold marker at the bottom corner by the stitcher, Barbara. There is also a printout on the back telling a little about the designer, P. Buckley Moss and a note as to who stitched the piece and when.

The finished stitched piece is oval and measures approximately 7-1/2" from top to bottom and 4-1/2" from side to side.  

The wood frame measures 1/2" thick.  The framed piece altogether is rectangle in shape and measures 13" from top to bottom and 10" from side to side.

This framed cross stitch piece does have glass on the front and will be shipped in a box with plenty of packing material to keep it safe.  

It will come ready to hang on the wall and enjoy.
